Applications are invited for the post of ‘Cartographer” (one post) under GT [NonPriority]
for the Department of Geography, University of Madras, candidates with the
prescribed Academic qualification/Technical qualification/experience and age limit only need
to apply.
The filled in application form and attested certificates (5 sets) along with the prescribed
fee of Rs. 500/- (Rs. 250/- for SCA/SC/ST candidates) through a Demand Draft obtained from
any Nationalized Bank drawn in favour of the “The Registrar, University of Madras” payable at
Chennai should be submitted on or before 28.12.2015
(i) Educational Qualification : M. Sc in Geography/Applied Geography/Spatial
Information Technology/Geoinformatics/ Cartography or
equivalent qualification with 55% marks.
(ii) Additional qualification : UGC-NET or SLET/Ph.D
(iii) Experience : skills in Digital Geography, GIS, Remote sensing and
GPS; Knowledge in handling GIS, Remote sensing and
statistical applications software; Handling GPS–DGPS,
(iv) Age Limit [as on 01.09.2015]

The appointee will be governed by the Contributory Provident Fund Scheme.
