SSC JE Eligibility Criteria:

Educational Qualification: (As on 01.08.2023)

1. Junior Engineer (Civil) – Border Roads Organization (BRO) – Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/Board; and (b) Two years working experience in Planning/Execution/Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.

2. Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) – Border Roads Organization (BRO) – Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute; or (a) Three years Diploma in Electrical/Automobile/Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University/Institute/ Board; and (b) Two years’ experience in Planning/Execution/ Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.

3. Junior Engineer (Civil) – Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

4. Junior Engineer (Electrical) – Central Public Works Department (CPWD) – Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.

5. Junior Engineer (Civil) – Central Water Commission – Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution.

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Salary Details: The posts are of Group ‘B’ (Non-Gazetted), Non-Ministerial in Level6 (Rs 35400-112400/-) of pay matrix of 7th Central Pay Commission.

SSC JE Selection Process 2023:

SSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Computer Based Examination (Paper-I & Paper-II)

2. Document Verification (DV)

Exam Center In Tamilnadu: Chennai, Coimbatore, Madurai, Salem, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli & Vellore

Application Fee/Exam Fee for SSC JE: – Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only). – Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee. – Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.

Candidate(s) fulfilling all the above clearly laid down criteria will have to apply online only through the link on the SSC website in the careers webpage under current openings section i.e. https://ssc.nic.in/ from 26.07.2023 to 16.08.2023. No other mode of application will be accepted.
