Eligibility Criteria for NIOT Chennai:
Educational Qualifications:
Project Engineer-II:
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (min. 60% marks) from a recognized university/institute. M.E./M.Tech. in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Structures, or Harbour Engineering (min. 60% marks).
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience post-qualification.
- Desirable Skills: Knowledge of BIS & IS codes for construction and material testing, and proficiency in Civil AutoCAD (2D & 3D), GIS, HYPACK, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Project Engineering Associate:
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering (min. 60% marks) from a recognized university/institute.
- Desirable Qualification: M.E./M.Tech. in Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Harbour Engineering, or Structures.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience post-qualification.
- Desirable Skills: Knowledge of BIS & IS codes for construction and material testing, and proficiency in Civil AutoCAD (2D & 3D), GIS, HYPACK, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Age Limit (as of March 14, 2025):
- Project Engineer-II: 40 years
- Project Engineering Associate: 40 years
Relaxation of Age Limit:

Pay Scale for NIOT Chennai:
