A Walk-in Interview will be held at Department of Biotechnology, Alagappa University,
Science Campus, Karaikudi - 630 004 on 10.07.2015 (Friday) at 10.00 AM for the position of
JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) for the DBT funded Multi-Institutional Research
Project entitled, “Characterization, recombinant expression, process scale up and validation
of selected hydrolases from native actino-bacteria for commercial exploitation” jointly
carried out at Alagappa University, Karaikudi, Jawaharlal Nehru Tropical Botanic Garden
and Research Institute (JNTBGRI), Palode, and National Institute for Interdisciplinary
Science and Technology (NIIST), Thiruvananthapuram under the “ Programme Support on
Biotechnology Approaches for Conservation and Sustainable Utilization of Plant Wealth of
Western Ghats”.
Qualification: First Class M.Sc., in Biotechnology/Molecular Biology/Microbiology or
equivalent from a recognized University, preferably with research experience in the relevant
area. NET/GATE qualified candidates will be given preference.
Emoluments & Duration:
Rs 25000 per month + 10% HRA for first two years and Rs. 28000 per month + 10% HRA for
the third year.
Registration for Ph.D: Selected candidate will be encouraged to register for PhD
Programme.

certificates and all original certificates for verification. No TA/DA will be paid for attending
