Qualification & Experience:
Essential:
(i)Matriculation or its equivalent;
Possession of First Class Master Certificate
under
Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917)
(OR)
(ii)Possession of Certificate of Competency as
Master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any
nominal Horse Power,
(or)
of a Motor vessel
having engines of any Break Horse Power,
issued
by the Mercantile Marine Department under
Major
Ports Harbour Crafts Rules.
(iii) Three years experience in handling vessels
with
above capacity;
(iv) Knowledge of Swimming.
(v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and
conducted by the Port

Skilled Test/Trade Test followed by interview.
