Qualification & Experience:

Essential: 

(i)Matriculation or its equivalent; Possession of First Class Master Certificate under Inland Steam Vessels Act, 1917 (1 of 1917)

 (OR) 

(ii)Possession of Certificate of Competency as Master of a Steam Vessel having engine of any nominal Horse Power,

 (or) 

of a Motor vessel having engines of any Break Horse Power, issued by the Mercantile Marine Department under Major Ports Harbour Crafts Rules. 

(iii) Three years experience in handling vessels with above capacity; 

(iv) Knowledge of Swimming. 

(v) Should pass the trade test prescribed and conducted by the Port 

Method of Selection: 

Skilled Test/Trade Test followed by interview. 1. Skilled test /Trade Test 2. Interview 

Instruction: The filled in application along with attested copies of educational, experience and professional certificate by Gazetted Officer should reach the undersigned on or before 07.05.2016.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have Matriculation or its equivalent & First Class Master Certificate under Inland Steam Vessels Act or Certificate of Competency as Master of a Steam Vessel for S.No-1 & 2, Matriculation or its equivalent & First Class Driver Certificate issued under Major Port Harbour Craft Rules/ Certificate of Competency as Engine Driver of a Motor Vessel for S.No-3 & 4, Matriculation or its equivalent & Possession of Certificate of Competency as Serang of a Steam Vessel for S.No-5 and have relevant experiences.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on skilled test/ trade test & interview.
