Event Objective: Globalisation and growth of the Indian Economy have lead to exponential growth of industries, especially Automobile and HVAC. As the industry grows many energy and environmental issues are also encountered. Growth of our economy has lead to improved standard of living, but with substantial environment degradation, leading to global warming. Reduced energy consumption and developing greener technologies is the need of the hour. Keeping this in mind the division has envisaged a faculty development programme on THERMAL ENGINEERING (ME6404).

Registration Fees: The course is offered FREE of cost for participants from colleges affiliated to Anna University. No DA and TA will be paid to the participants.

Applications are invited for the Post of Project Assistant for the DST-SERB funded research project (Sanction Order No. YSS/2014/000021), in the School of Advanced Sciences (Environmental & Analytical Chemistry Division).

Title of the Project: “Structure Activity Studies of a New Structural Class of Bioactive Fatty Acid Amides: N- acyltaurines ” Qualification: Under JRF Category: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic /General) or M.Sc in Biotechnology, with compulsory GATE / NET qualification. Under Project Fellow Category: M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic /General), M.Sc in Biotechnology. Desirable: Candidate with prior experience in Biophysical Assays, Organic Synthesis, Structure Activity Studies. Stipend: For Project Assistant: Rs. 16,000/- (+ 20%HRA) per month (for 1st & 2nd year) and Rs. 18,000/- (+20%HRA) per month (for 3rd year) (As per DST norms).
