Post No. 1 : Scientist-B (Medical)

Essential Qualification: MBBS degree recognized by MCI. Desirable: i. MD in Community Medicine/Social & Preventive Medicine/Microbiology/Pathology. ii. Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in subjects in recognized institute(s). iii. Two years R&D/ Teaching experience in relevant subject after obtaining essential qualification

Post No. 2 : Scientist-B (Non-medical)

Essential Qualification : 1 st Class M.Sc degree in Zoology/ Medical Entomology/ Public Health Entomology from a recognized University. Or 2 nd Class M.Sc degree in Zoology/ Medical Entomology/ Public Health Entomology + Ph.D in the relevant subject from a recognized University. Desirable: i. Doctorate in Zoology/Public Health Entomology/Medical Entomology from a recognized university. ii. Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in subjects related to vector borne diseases and their control in recognized institute(s) iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Biostatistics/Data Management

Post No. 3 : Scientist-B (Non-medical)

Essential Qualification : 1 st Class Master’s degree in Microbiology from a recognized University. Or 2 nd Class Master’s degree in Microbiology + Ph.D in the relevant subject from a recognized University. Desirable: i. Doctorate in Microbiology from a recognized university. ii. Additional Post doctoral research/teaching experience in subjects related to vector borne diseases and their control in recognized institute(s) iii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Biostatistics/Data Management

Pay Band : Rs.15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400

Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years.

Selection : Written test & Interview

Application Fee: Rs. 500/- for General and OBC candidates and Rs. 100/- for SC & ST in the form of crossed demand draft of any Bank drawn in favour of Director, Vector Control Research Centre, Puducherry payable at Puducherry. Candidates belonging to PwD category are exempted from payment of application fee.
