Educational Qualification:
1. Senior Research Officer - Master’s degree in Life Science or M-Tech in Biotechnology with one year research experience in the related field.
2. Project Technician III (Lab Technician) - 12th pass in science subjects with any one of the following: (i) Two years Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology or (ii) One year Diploma in Med Laboratory Technology with one year laboratory experience in a recognised organization/institution or (iii) Two years laboratory experience in a government recognised organisation/institution.
3. Junior Project Research Fellow - Master’s degree in Basic Science with NET qualification or Graduate in professional course with NET qualification or Postgraduate degree in Life Science in professional course
Age Limit:
Candidate’s Age Limit Should not exceed (For Post 1 - 40 years), (For Post 2 - 30 Years), (For Post 3 -35 Years). The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. Candidates Relaxation in Upper Age limit will be provided as per Govt. Rules.
Pay Scale:
1. Senior Research Officer - Rs.28, 000/- + HRA Rs. 6,720/
2. Project Technician III (Lab Technician) - Rs.17, 520/- p m
3. Junior Project Research Fellow - Rs.25,000/- + HRA Rs. 6,000/
Application Fee:
creamy layer/non-creamy layer certificate as per Govt of India guidelines) and a fee of Rs.100/- (drawn in favour of Director, NIRT, Chennai) in the shape of demand draft from any Nationalized Bank. The original of the attached documents should also be carried with for the purpose of verification. SC/ST, physically disabled candidates and women candidates are exempted from payment of fees subject to production of valid certificate.
