TAMIL NADU ELECTRICITY REGULATORY COMMISSION

Tamil Nadu Electricity Regulatory Commission (TNERC) is a statutory body constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu and located at Chennai discharging its function under the Electricity Act, 2003. It is vested with powers to determine the electricity tariff and to regulate power purchase and procurement process, issuing licenses and adjudicate upon disputes. TNERC is looking for suitable candidates to fill up the post of Secretary and Director (Engineering) either on deputation or on contract basis. 

Secretary: One post

Qualification: Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in India in any discipline. ACS is desirable,

Experience: 20 years of administrative experience out of which 7 years at Management level.

Desirable experience :Experience of having dealt with matters relating to Regulatory Commissions or agencies, thorough knowledge and understanding of the electricity sector, especially regulatory reforms.  

Director (Engineering): One post 

Qualification Degree in Electrical Engineering

Experience 20 years of engineering experience out of which at least 7 years at management level in a large power utility with generation, transmission and distribution facilities.
