• Veterinary Assistant (கால்நடை பராமரிப்பு உதவியாளர்) - 859 Posts (UR 266 ; BC 227 ; BCM 30 ; MBC 172 ; SC 129 ; SCA 26 ; ST 9) - Basic Pay 4800 Grade Pay 1400 in Pay Band I A - 8th Std Pass or Fail

Age Limit for  (updated as on 15.09.2015)

• Cut off date for age is 01.07.2015
• Minimum Age limit is 18 years
• SC / SC Arunthathiyar / ST 35 years [with 8th Std Pass or Fail Qualification]
• SC / SC Arunthathiyar / ST 40 years [with 10th Std or 12th Std Qualification]
• SC / SC Arunthathiyar / ST NO AGE LIMIT [with Degree or higher Qualification]
• BC / MBC / BC Muslim 32 years  [with 8th Std Pass or Fail Qualification]
• BC / MBC / BC Muslim 34 years  [with 10th Std or 12th Std Qualification]
• BC / MBC / BC Muslim NO AGE LIMIT   [with Degree or higher Qualification]
• UR / GT 30 years (including all higher qualifications)
• Ex-Serviceman : UR 48 years ; all others 53 years
• Additional age relaxations of 10 years are applicable for Physically Challenged Persons (PwD / PH) along with the above age relaxations.

General Instructions :

• Those who applied for the post of Veterinary Assistant vide notification dated14.08.2015 and 15.09.2015, need not apply again. Their Application Form is valid for this recruitment.
• Hence, whoever not applied earlier only, requested to apply now.
• Application Forms are available District Head Offices of DAHVS.
• Cost of application form is Rs.10.
• Application Registration Fee Rs.100 (one hundred only) can be paid through Axis Bank by Challan or by Demand Draft in favour of "Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Chennai 600 006." payable at "Chennai"
• There is no application registration fee for SC / SCA / ST / Physically Challenged Persons / Destitute Widow of all communities / Transgender (Thirunangaiyar)
• Duly filled application form along with all necessary documents (duly self attested) to The Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, Central Office Buildings, Block II, DMS Complex, Chennai 600 006 on or before 11th November, 2015.
• Application Cover (envelope) must be superscribed as "Veterinary Assistant Exam 2015"

Selection Procedure :

• Selection will be made through personal interview (there is no written exam)

4. Transfer Certificate / Birth Certificate / SSLC Marksheet  (to verify date of birth )
5. Demand Draft (in favour of "Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services Chennai 600 006." payable at "Chennai") or Axis Bank Payment Challan Counter foil.
6.  Employment Registration Card / Ration Card (not compulsory)
