• Surveyor cum Assistant Draughtsman - 98 Posts - Basic Pay 5200 Grade Pay 2400 in Pay Band I category - Age 30 years for UR ; 35 years for all others and Destitute Widow of all communities - Educational Qualifications as follows:
• ITI Trade Certificate in Civil Draughtsman / Surveyor

                                                                  OR

• National Trade Certificate (NTC) of Draughtsman (Civil) Trade or Surveyor Trade Certificate

                                                                 OR

• Draughtsmanship (Civil) Course from Ministry of Labour

                                                                 OR

• Certificate course in Army Draughtsman (Field) from Technical Testing Board Madras Engineering Group and Centre

                                                                   OR

• Certificate course in Draughtsman (Civil) from Craftsman Training Centre

Age Limit Details :

• Cut off date for age limit is 01.07.2015
• Minimum age limit is 18 years.
• UR 30 years
• BC / BCM / MBC / DC / SC / SCA / ST / Destitute Widow from UR category 35 years
• Physically Challenged Persons 40 years
• There is no age limit for Diploma / Degree holders (concern subject area) of BC / MBC / SC / SCA / ST candidates.

• UR community candidates, who is working in  government sector with more than or equal 5 years service ; All other category government sector candidates may apply for this post.

General Instructions :

Apply through online application registration method only.

Age relaxations are applicable as per government of tamilnadu norms.

NOC is compulsory for departments applicants (even if they are in temporary position).

Selection by written test and interview.

Application Fee Rs.300

Fee can be paid in the form of Demand Draft in favour of "Director of Town and Country Planning" payable at "Chennai"

Examination Pattern :
Questions will be in MCQ type
ITI surveyor syllabus or ITI Draughtsman Civil Syllabus - 60 marks ( Time 90 minutes)

Civil Drawing skill test 25 marks (Time 30 minutes)

Personal interview / Oral Test 15 marks. Total 100 marks

Questions will be in Tamil and English.

Minimum marks required to qualify written test is 15.
