2.	Research Associate/Sr. Research Investigator	Post Graduate degree in Economics/Agricultural Economics/Statistics/Econometrics from a recognized University/Institution. Preferable Qualifications : M. Phil. and/or NET/SLET/SET relevant subject
3.	Research Fellow	Essential Qualifications Post Graduate degree in Economics / Econometrics/Agricultural Economics / Statistics or equivalent subjects. Preference will be given to those who are currently pursuing Ph. D. degree in Economics or Statistics or Econometrics or Agricultural Economics in Madras University
4.	Research & Reference Assistant(Library)	MA / M.Sc., B. Li. Sc /Certificate Course in Library Science
5.	Accounts Assistant / Assistants	Academic : Any Under Graduate degree from a recognized University/Institution from following the 10 + + 2 + 3 pattern of education (Preferably Economics/ Agricultural Economics/ Statistics/ Commerce). One year Diploma / Certificate course in Computer Applications obtained from the any reputed institutions. Preferably : Typewriting qualification both in Tamil and English in Lower Grade / Junior Grade

The appointment will be on contract basis for a period of 11 months. Depending on the evaluation at the end of the contract period, the contract shall be extended or terminated. The selected candidates will be posted in the Agro-Economic Research Centre of University of Madras. The Centre is funded by the Directorate of Economics & Statistics (DES), Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India. Candidates called for interview by the Selection Committee have to attend the same at their own expenses.
