Master‟s degree of a recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the mediumof examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi medium and English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of a examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with English medium and Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the degree level;

or

Master‟s Degree of a recognized University in any subject other than Hindi or English, with Hindi and English as compulsory or elective subjects or either of the two as a medium of examination and the other as a compulsoryor elective subject at degree level

and

Age Limit: (As on 01.08.2023)

18 to 30 years as on 01.08.2023, i.e., candidates born not before 02.08.1993 and not later than 01.08.2005 are eligible to apply.

The Upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST; 3 years for OBC, 10 Years for Persons with Disabilities (15 years for SC/ST PWD’s & 13 years for OBC PWD’s) and for Ex-S as per Govt. of India rules. 2. Junior Translation Officer(JTO) in Armed Forces Headquarters (AFHQ) – Level-6 (Rs.35400- 112400)

3. Junior Hindi Translator (JHT)/ Junior Translation Officer(JTO)/Junior Translator(JT) in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations – Level-6 (Rs.35400- 112400)

4. Senior Hindi Translator(SHT)/Senior Translator (ST) in various Central Government Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations – Level-7 (Rs.44900- 142400)

SSC JT, JHT & SHT Selection Process 2023:

SSC may follow the following process to select the candidates.

1. Paper-I (Computer Based Examination) & Paper-II (Translation and Essay)

2. Document Verification (DV)

Exam Center In Tamilnadu: Chennai, Tiruchirapalli, Tirunelveli

Application Fee/Exam Fee for SSC JT, JHT & SHT: 

·         Fee payable: Rs 100/- (Rs one hundred only).

·         Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

·         Fee can be paid only through online payment modes, namely BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, or RuPay Credit or Debit card.
