CMFRI Eligibility Criteria:

• Educational Qualifications:

  1. Young Professional-II
     • Required: Postgraduate in Fisheries Science/Marine Science/Environmental Science/Agricultural Statistics/Statistics/Geoinformatics
     • Desirable: Experience in climate change research, fishery data analysis, statistical modeling, oceanographic sampling, handling oceanographic equipment, marine plankton identification, water and sediment quality analysis, and peer-reviewed scientific publications.
  2. Young Professional-I
     • Required: Graduate/Diploma in Fisheries Science/Zoology/Botany/Physics/Maths
     • Desirable: Knowledge in ecological principles, environmental analysis, GIS/Geoinformatics, and Mariculture (Seaweed).
  3. Office Assistant
     • Required: Graduate/Diploma holder
     • Desirable: Proficiency in MS Office, basic computer knowledge, and work experience in government or private offices.

• Age Limit (as of 18.03.2025):

  • Young Professional-II: 21 to 45 years
  • Young Professional-I: 21 to 45 years
  • Office Assistant: Maximum age of 35 years for men and 40 years for women
  • Age Relaxations:
    • SC/ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PwBD (Gen/EWS): 10 years
    • PwBD (SC/ST): 6 years
    • PwBD (OBC): 13 years
    • Ex-Servicemen: As per government policy

Pay Scale:

• Young Professional-II: Rs. 42,000 per month
• Young Professional-I: Rs. 30,000 per month
• Office Assistant: Rs. 15,000 per month
