 The upper age limit indicated at column No.6 above is for candidates belonging to General category. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 3 years for OBC candidates (non creamy layer) and 5 years for SC/ST and PWD in accordance with the Govt. of India guidelines.

Qualification & Experience:

For the post of Chief Manager (Traffic)  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Degree from a recognized university / institution.  EXPERIENCE: Should have worked in Traffic or Port Operations of any port in Officer / Executive cadre for more than 15 years.

For the post of Company Secretary   EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: ACS EXPERIENCE: Post qualification (ACS membership date) experience of 10 years.

For the post of Manager (HR) EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION: Post Graduate degree from a recognized university /                  institution with specialization in HR/IR. EXPERIENCE: Post qualification experience of 10 years.

For the post of Executive (Civil)  EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:  BE (Civil)    EXPERIENCE: Post qualification experience of 2 years. Experience in infrastructure projects would be desirable

For the post of Duty Officer   EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION:  Any degree from a recognized university. EXPERIENCE: 2 years experience in Marine or logistics or infrastructure would be preferred.

V.O.CHIDAMBARANAR PORT TRUST

Applications are invited from the children of officers/employees of V.O.Chidambaranar Port Trust for engagement as graduate apprentices in Civil Engineering Department for the year 2014-15, against the seats earmarked for the children of Port employees and officers under the Apprentice Act, 1961, as detailed below:-

1.Name of Trade : Graduate Apprentice

2.Qualification : B.E (Civil)

3. Duration of Training : One year

4. No. of persons to be engaged under  seats earmarked under the  employee children quota : 2 (Two)

5. Stipend : Rs.3560/- per month

 Candidates having the requisite qualifications may furnish their applications along-with marks statement in the enclosed proforma. Candidates who had already undergone Apprenticeship training in any other organization or in VOC Port Trust and the candidates who have completed more than 3 years after acquiring B.E. Degree need not apply. The last date for submission of applications by the candidates is 12.12.2014
