Project Name	National Surveillance Programme for Aquatic Animal Diseases
Duration	Three years / co-terminus with the project
Essential Qualification	1st class Master’s degree in Microbiology/Fisheries Science/ Aquaculture / Fish Pathology/Biotechnology/Marine Zoology/ Zoology/ Environmental Science/ Life Sciences
Desirable	a)      Proficiency in regional languages like Tamil/Telugu, short term working experience in aquaculture related research projects, good command in English, and operational skill in computer.  b)     Experience in molecular based diagnostic work in reputed laboratory.
Emoluments	Rs.16,000/-+30% HRA for the first and second year and Rs.18,000/- + 30% HRA from third year onwards.
Nature of Work	Place of posting will be at CIBA, Chennai.  Work involves extensive field trips, liaison with stakeholders, disease surveillance and investigations in aquaculture fields of coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, database development and laboratory analysis. SRF selected under the project can register for Ph. D (under Madras University) in the field of surveillance related topics or disease diagnostic related topics only.
Age Limit	Maximum 35 years for men and 40 years for women as on date of interview.
